One firm quotes $4,000–$5,000. Another quotes $2,000–$2,500 for what looks like the same service. Here is a clear framework to understand the difference — and what a fair fee actually looks like in 2026.

This is a fair question. Applicants often receive very different quotations from different immigration firms, and it can be confusing to understand why. This article is not about any specific company — there are many service providers in the market, each with its own pricing method. The purpose here is to give you a general framework to evaluate immigration service fees more clearly.
In this industry, some companies price their services based on the applicant’s salary level. For example, if your monthly salary is above $15,000 or $20,000, you may receive a quotation of $4,000 or $5,000. The same company may offer a similar service to another applicant with a lower salary at around $2,000.
Some companies offer packages such as Plan A, Plan B and Plan C. On paper, the higher plan may appear more premium. So it’s not really different. What they often do is this: for someone with a lower salary, they will say that Package B costs $5,000 — “but for you, if you sign today, I will give it to you for $2,000.”
If one package is $2,500 and another is $5,000, the difference should be clearly explained. Some companies may say the higher package includes:
A more experienced consultant reviewing your file.
A supposedly stronger writer handling your letter.
More seasoned staff managing the application.
Extra internal checking before submission.
Deeper guidance on your profile.
These may sound impressive, but applicants should evaluate whether they are real, measurable differences. In our view, some of these can become “vanity metrics” if they are not clearly defined — for example, no applicant can easily verify who actually worked on the file internally.
Some applicants notice that Epica’s PR and citizenship packages are priced in a similar range, while other companies quote much higher fees for citizenship. The reason is simple.
In June 2024, ICA introduced a new application portal. After this change, the process for PR and citizenship applications became much more similar than before, with only certain differences. Before June 2024, citizenship applications required much more manual work and were more complex — at that time, higher citizenship pricing was easier to justify.
However, after the new portal was introduced, the process became more streamlined. That is why our pricing for PR and citizenship applications remains in a similar range. Some companies may still continue with older premium pricing for citizenship, even though the process has now become simpler.
Not necessarily. AI tools usually rely on information already available online. Many immigration service prices and practices found online may be from older websites, old articles, or older market conditions. In our view, when AI suggests that a reasonable fee is $3,000 to $6,000, it may be relying on market information from 2023 or earlier.
